He studied in Florence and Venice where he earned a degree in architecture in 1979. The de-signer’s youthful enthusiasm and artistic research have materialized in his many contributions to group and solo exhibitions, starting with his appearance in the decorative arts section of the 1972 Biennale.
Developing alongside his pictorial research is his work in the ﬁelds of architec-ture and industrial design. The designer’s studio, opened in 1981 in Udine, deals with very differ-ent projects in terms of scale and object, but all of which feature a very recognizable method and stylistic coherence. Franzolini has carried out numerous architectural projects, which have been published and have very often received special mention.
In the area of industrial design he has had the opportunity to collaborate over the years with some of the leading companies in the furniture sector, namely, Alias, Cappellini, Crassevig, Foscarini, Knoll International, Moroso, Pallucco, Elam and Tisettanta
